Candle Care
To ensure a clean, long-lasting burn and get the most from your candle, please follow these care tips:
- Trim the Wick: Before each burn, trim the wick to ¼ inch (6mm) to prevent soot and ensure an even flame.
- First Burn = Full Melt Pool: Allow the wax to melt across the entire surface during the first burn (about 2–3 hours). This prevents "tunneling" and helps your candle burn evenly.
- Burn in Intervals: Burn your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time. This keeps the container from overheating and extends candle life.
- Stay Safe: Never leave candle burning unattended. Keep away from children, pets, drafts, and flammable objects. Always place on a heat-resistant, stable surface.
- Extinguish with Care: Use a snuffer or gently blow out the flame. Avoid splashing wax or letting the wick fall into the pool.
- Reuse the Jar: Once your candle has about ½ inch (1 cm) of wax left, discontinue use. Clean the jar and repurpose it for storage or decor!
